PAL Workstations, combined with a balance

PALs enjoy great popularity as sample prep and injection systems in the LC-MS and GC/GC-MS labs throughout the world, and LEAP Technologies has added to their capabilities by creating a new PAL Workstation with one of its customers (Cirrus Inc). The system consists of a PAL with a special interface to a balance. The empty sample container (vial) is weighed before sample plus diluent are dispensed into the container. The balance's data output allows a precise dilution ratio calculation. What previously could have been done only by liquid volumes, can now be done by accurate gravimetric measurement and calculation. The workstation also fits with our cusomters' demands for a small footprint and low cost.
